Antony Duffy scores ippon in the Senior Male Individual Kumite
The KUGB's second Grand Slam competition of the year took place at the Queens Park Leisure Centre on Saturday 30th August.
The event, between squads from England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland is held under the European Shotokan Karate Association rules and is intended to give the competitors experience in international competition.
Well over a hundred squad members took part in cadet, junior and senior Kata and Kumite categories. The event started with one hour's training followed by the competition.
The standard was excellent with many outstanding matches. Congratulations to you all.
