Matt Price European Individual Kumite Champion
The KUGB's English Squad achieved great success in this year's ESKA Championships in Lucerne, Switzerland. Squads were sent from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. All competed very enthusiastically but England performed outstandingly well taking a great tally of medals. Matt Price was in tremendous form winning the male senior individual kumite event with great authority. He was also presented with the Sensei Enoeda Memorial Trophy as the most outstanding competitor of the tournament. All members of the various teams performed very well scoring many spectacular ippons on their way to the finals. Congratulations to them all. Jimmy Brennan and Gary Harford attended the judges course and both successfully attained qualifications as International Judges for both kata and kumite.
