Charles Naylor 7th Dan
We are very sorry to announce the death of our Vice-chairman, Charles Naylor. Charles was a founder member of the KUGB who helped to guide the organisation throughout its long history and has always been a staunch and loyal supporter. He was also a founder member of the World and European Shotokan Karate Associations and was President of both groups. Charles’s love and enthusiasm for karate obviously had a great effect upon his family, with his wife Dot, and children Jane and Mark all achieving their black belts. In fact, Jane was a prominent international competitor. Charles was a very friendly and amiable man and we know that his many friends and students will be shocked with his passing. He did however live a very happy and fulfilling life and we must celebrate this fact. We send our condolences to his very close and loving family and assure them that they are in our thoughts at this very sad time.
Charles’s funeral is on Friday 23rd March at 2pm
Chelmsford Cemetery and Crematorium Writtle Road Chelmsford Essex CM1 3BL 01245 256946
His family would appreciate that no flowers are sent but donations may be sent to: KUGB Office PO Box 3 Wirral CH43 6XX
Donations will then be passed on to the Prostate Cancer Charity.
